Testimony: But God — Divine Protection
I felt led to share this testimony because I am truly amazed by how God watches over us—even when we are completely unaware.
Recently, I unknowingly left my iron turned on and hot, resting directly on the ironing board cloth, for more than three days. During that time, I slept in the house at night and traveled nearly two hours away for work during the day. Under normal circumstances, the cloth could have ignited, a fire could have started, and lives and property could have been lost.
But God.
Nothing burned. No fire started. No alarm sounded.
Three days later, while resting on my bed and scrolling on my phone, I suddenly heard the iron click. When I went to check, it was still plugged in, still turned on, and still hot—sitting directly on the cloth. I immediately unplugged it and sat back down, speechless, amazed, and in awe of God.
I want to be very clear: I do not give credit to mechanics, systems, or the design of the iron. I give all glory to God alone. If God had not intervened, the outcome could have been very different. This was not coincidence—this was divine protection.
Scripture reminds us:
“Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.” — Psalm 127:1
“The Lord will keep you from all harm—He will watch over your life.” — Psalm 121:7
God ensured that the iron did not burn the cloth or cause destruction. I am still without words.
I share this testimony to encourage someone today: God loves you deeply. He is faithful. He protects us and fights our battles even when we are unaware.
“The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and He delivers them.” — Psalm 34:7
Trust in the Lord. He will never forsake you.
“The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.” — Deuteronomy 31:8
All glory to God alone.
